Your Privacy Matters
Last Updated: November 3, 2025
Welcome to YogiMetrics ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.
1. Data We Collect
We are a privacy-first application. The core principle of our service is that your data belongs to you. Here’s what that means in practice:
- Data Stored Locally: All your personal tracking data (trackers, entries, goals) is stored exclusively on your device within your web browser's local storage (IndexedDB). We do not have access to this data.
- Anonymous Usage Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data using Google Analytics to understand how our users interact with the application. This data is not personally identifiable and is used solely to improve our service. This includes information like which features are used most, device type, and country. We do not track any of the personal information you enter into your trackers.
- Account Information (for Premium Users): If you choose to create an account for cloud sync (a premium feature), we will collect your email address and name as provided by the authentication provider (e.g., Google). This information is used only for authentication and account management. Your tracking data is stored in a secure, private cloud database (Firebase Firestore) that is only accessible by you.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect in the following ways:
- To provide, operate, and maintain our application.
- To improve, personalize, and expand our application by analyzing anonymous usage trends.
- To provide cloud sync and backup functionality for premium users.
- To communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the application.
3. Data Control and Portability (GDPR)
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have complete control over your data:
- Right to Access & Portability: You can export all of your data at any time from the "Settings" page. The data is provided in a standard JSON format.
- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can delete all your local data at any time from the "Settings" page. If you are a premium user, deleting your account will permanently delete all associated cloud data.
4. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. For premium users, your cloud-synced data is protected by Firebase's robust security rules, ensuring that only you can access your own data. For local data, security is dependent on your device and browser security.
We also offer an option to export your data with password-based encryption for an extra layer of security when creating backups.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
